Day 1: Tokyo – Arrival and Rest

Morning: Arrival at Narita or Haneda Airport, transfer to hotel by private vehicle.
Afternoon: Free time for rest or independent sightseeing.
Evening: Welcome dinner, overnight stay in Tokyo.

Day 2: Tokyo – Shirakawa-go – Gassho-style Thatched Village

Morning: Depart by private vehicle from Tokyo to Shirakawa-go, a UNESCO World Heritage village famous for its distinctive Gassho-style thatched roofs.
Afternoon: Explore unique thatched houses, learn about traditional village life, and enjoy the peaceful rural mountain scenery.
Evening: Overnight at a local hotel near Shirakawa-go.

Day 3: Shirakawa-go – Takayama (Old Town and Morning Market)

Morning: Transfer to Takayama, known as the “Kyoto of the Highlands,” to explore the historic old town with traditional houses, cafes, and artisan shops.
Afternoon: Visit Takayama’s morning market, sample fresh local produce, and enjoy Hida regional specialties such as soba noodles and premium Hida beef.
Evening: Overnight in Takayama.

Day 4: Takayama – Joshinetsu National Park (Kamikochi)

Morning: Travel to Kamikochi, a natural area within the Joshinetsu Alps National Park.
Afternoon: Stroll through the pristine nature of the Japanese Alps, relax at Kamikochi hot springs, and photograph famous spots such as Kappabashi Bridge.
Evening: Stay at a traditional ryokan with onsen, enjoy exquisite kaiseki cuisine.

Day 5: Kamikochi – Nagano (Jigokudani Monkey Park)

Morning: Depart for Nagano to visit Jigokudani Monkey Park, where you can observe snow monkeys bathing in natural hot springs.
Afternoon: Explore the snowy landscapes and fresh mountain air unique to this region.
Evening: Overnight in Nagano.

Day 6: Nagano – Matsumoto (Castle Visit)

Morning: Transfer to Matsumoto city to visit Matsumoto Castle, one of Japan’s oldest and most beautiful castles featuring traditional architecture and scenic surroundings.
Afternoon: Learn about the castle’s history and the culture of central Japan.
Evening: Overnight in Matsumoto or nearby area.

Day 7: Matsumoto – Kaga Onsen (Yamanaka, Yamashiro)

Morning: Travel to Kaga Onsen, a famous traditional hot spring region in Ishikawa Prefecture.
Afternoon: Relax in natural hot springs at the Yamanaka and Yamashiro resorts, experience luxury spa services, and savor refined kaiseki dining.
Evening: Overnight at a traditional ryokan.

Day 8: Kaga Onsen – Hakusan (Sacred Mountain)

Morning: Explore Mount Hakusan, one of Japan’s three sacred mountains, enjoying fresh air and peaceful natural surroundings.
Afternoon: Hike trails around the mountain, admire majestic mountain views, and relax in natural hot springs immersed in nature.
Evening: Overnight at a local hotel.

Day 9: Hakusan – Kanazawa (21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Higashi Chaya District)

Morning: Travel to Kanazawa, visit the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art featuring innovative modern works.
Afternoon: Explore Higashi Chaya, a historic tea house district, experiencing traditional Japanese culture and lifestyle.
Evening: Overnight in Kanazawa.

Day 10: Kanazawa – Nagoya (Osu Kannon Market) – Tokyo

Morning: Transfer to Nagoya, visit Osu Kannon Market, a bustling marketplace offering handicrafts and local specialties.
Afternoon: Return to Tokyo by Shinkansen.
Evening: Overnight in Tokyo or prepare for departure at the airport to conclude the tour.

REGISTRATION & PAYMENT PROCEDURE:

TOUR CANCELLATION POLICY:

Cancel after deposit payment: 10% penalty of the tour price (no penalty if replaced by another person).
Cancel 30 days before departure: 30% penalty of the tour price.
Cancel 15 days before departure: 100% penalty of the tour price.
In case of natural disasters or epidemics, if no official Japanese entry ban is issued, the above penalties still apply.
Note: If you cancel but have a replacement guest, the deposit will not be forfeited.

OTHER NOTES:

Time calculation excludes holidays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
If you have family or friends residing locally who wish to join the program, please contact the company before departure.
Guests are kindly requested not to skip designated shopping stops in the itinerary.
Throughout the trip, guests must be punctual at meeting points to ensure the program runs on schedule.

THE TOUR COMPANY IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR:

Natural disasters such as storms, floods, droughts, earthquakes…
Security incidents such as terrorism, protests…
Medical issues including epidemics or guests’ personal health conditions.
Airline issues including technical problems, security, delays, or cancellations.
Denial of entry at the destination country.
